So many broken promises!!!
They told us progress was coming.
They told us our children would thrive, our communities would flourish, our voices would be heard.
The classrooms are empty. The fields are scarred. The doors to our local services are locked, and the key—thrown away.
A government that promised connection, but delivered silence.
A government that spoke of renewal, while dismantling the very bridges that held us together.
In Wales, we know what a bridge means.
It’s not just stone and steel—it’s a promise.
A promise that we are not alone. That we can cross divides. That we can reach each other.
But those bridges have been left to rot.
Not by accident. Not by neglect.
By design.
They dismantled our future with policy.
They bulldozed our trust with bureaucracy.
They closed the doors on our dignity—and called it reform.

In the end hey failed us...now we the people will show them the errors of their ways!

A Troubled Track Record: Welsh Government Under Fire for Poor Performance and Wasteful Spending
The Welsh Government has come under increasing scrutiny for what critics describe as a pattern of poor governance, financial mismanagement, and questionable spending decisions.
Financial Mismanagement
A Senedd committee revealed that Wales lost out on £155.5 million during the pandemic due to poor account management and an underspend in the 2020–21 financial year. This funding could have supported essential public services during a time of crisis. The committee chair described the situation as “frustrating,” citing poor record-keeping and a lack of urgency in requesting budget flexibility from the UK Treasury. [Welsh gove...- Sky News]
Wasteful Schemes
Several initiatives have sparked public outrage over their cost and perceived lack of value:
£4.7 million spent on maintaining 20 overseas offices, despite international relations being a non-devolved matter. [Welsh Gove...as offices]
£400,000 allocated to a Welsh language “empathy” programme aimed at tackling unconscious bias among senior leaders, which critics called a “pet project” with little tangible benefit. [Tories say...waste ...]
The scrapped M4 relief road project, which cost £114 million without delivering any infrastructure improvements. [Welsh Gove...as offices]
A £7 million racetrack project that was never completed, and £15 million lost on a failed land deal. [Welsh Gove...as offices]
Public and Political Criticism
At a recent Big Issue debate in Cardiff, the Welsh Government was labelled “failed” by panelists and audience members alike. Critics pointed to slow delivery, lack of measurable targets, and a disconnect between government intentions and outcomes. One audience member declared, “The Senedd has failed the people,” highlighting the impact on vulnerable groups such as the elderly and disabled. [Big Issue...Government]
Budgetary Concerns
The 2025–26 draft budget raised further concerns. While departments received increased funding, the Economy, Trade and Rural Affairs Committee warned that the government must prepare for slower growth and potential funding cuts. They urged better contingency planning and transparency to avoid sunk costs and ensure sustainable investment. [Scrutiny o...et 2025-26]
