THE FAILURES OF OUR POLITICIANS IS MIND BOGGLING!
THE STATE OF PLAY
WELSH LABOUR
Firstly, there is no such entity has 'Welsh Labour' there is only the Labour Party and one rule book! Labour once considered an unassailable force in the political landscape of Wales, now finds itself grappling with a host of challenges that threaten its longstanding dominance. The party, Its members are now so low in Wales that many constituencies are now down to a very few branches.
Recent surveys suggest that many voters feel increasingly disillusioned, citing perceived stagnation and a lack of innovative policy responses to pressing local issues.
. Meanwhile, the party’s leadership has struggled to strike a balance between maintaining close ties with Westminster and asserting a distinct Welsh identity, often leaving members and supporters unsatisfied. The party is rooted in a past that no longer exists! And its destruction of the Welsh education system hangs around their necks like an Albatross...a deliberate policy that has put Wales on the back foot!
The destruction by Labour of the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) cost 1,000s of jobs and robbed families of a decent living and put on the dole!!!
PLAID CYMRU
What can we say about our local 'Chameleon Party' who tell us that only they have the answers for the people of Wales! Well, they had the opportunities when they spent nearly three years propping up a fellow Left Wing Party in Government...prior to that, the Welsh nationalist party, Plaid Cymru and Welsh Labour had a coalition agreement, One Wales between 2007 and 2011, and in 2016 agreed to a "compact" deal, following that year's assembly elections.
So, an Independence Party since 2016 one way or another ensured Labour 'laid waste' to the Welsh Economy, Education and our NHS!
Now they are re-arranging the deckchairs and shrugging off its real purpose! During the Caerphilly By-Election they never mentioned Independence, and now they call it 'The Road to Independence' as if people would be fooled!
Their victory in Caerphilly was one where the candidate was local and some of their supporters presented themselves as Reform taking leaflets and putting them in bins...Reform then said that the area allotted was covered, when it was not. If this is a tactic along with smashing down the Reform Candidates door and driving him from is home! Plaid took politics to the gutter!!!
CONSERVATIVES
The impact of the Conservative Party’s prolonged period of drift is particularly evident in Wales. Over the past eighteen years, the lack of decisive leadership and coherent policy direction has contributed to growing frustration among Welsh communities, where issues such as economic stagnation, public service pressures, and regional inequalities have been exacerbated. Many in Wales feel that their specific needs have been overlooked, with promises of investment and improvement often failing to materialise. As a result, the Conservatives are facing intensified criticism and diminishing support in the region, with voters increasingly seeking alternatives that better address Welsh priorities. This situation serves as a clear example of how the party’s wider indecision and lack of progress have tangible consequences at the local level, further highlighting the price they must pay for years of political drift.
They will pay a big price!
