Monthly Statement
The level to which Labour has sunk is truly appalling. It’s difficult to fathom how they could go any lower, yet they manage to do so time and again. The recent comments made by their MP Technology Secretary, Peter Kyle, are not only incendiary but utterly indefensible—he outrageously suggested that Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, is “on the side of people like Jimmy Savile” because of his opposition to the Online Safety Act. Such reckless rhetoric, broadcast during a Sky News interview, has provoked widespread outrage and deepened the already volatile debate surrounding child protection, freedom of speech, and the boundaries of political discourse.
Frankly, it is infuriating to witness a member of Parliament weaponise concerns about free speech for political point-scoring. The lack of integrity is staggering. This incident only reinforces my conviction that Labour is unfit to govern—and I fervently hope the public will reject them resoundingly at the next general election. And make a start in the 2026 Senedd Elections!
It is astonishingly hypocritical for this MP to fling such vile accusations, when the very Prime Minister they serve—who, while leading the Crown Prosecution Service, presided over a period in which Jimmy Savile was allowed to evade justice and continue his appalling crimes. This isn’t just reckless rhetoric; it’s a grotesque attempt to deflect from their own party’s historic failures, and it insults the intelligence of every person who remembers the devastating consequences of that inaction. The audacity to exploit honest concerns for political gain is disgusting, this while standing atop a record of such egregious negligence, is beyond contempt.
